Posted

Looking for a job? The Carrollton Public Library, in partnership with Metrocrest Services, will host a job fair for the community on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 3-5 p.m. at Josey Ranch Lake Library.

Preregistration is requested for the free Metrocrest Job Fair, but all job seekers are welcome. Attendees should dress for success in professional attire as they will have the opportunity to meet with employers and hiring managers. Bring a resume or print a copy for free at the library.

“The Carrollton Public Library is committed to providing workforce development resources for citizens to help them set and achieve personal, professional, and financial goals,” Brittnee Emerine, Carrollton Public Library Engagement Manager, said. “We are excited to continue offering this event for community job seekers, and we hope they will take advantage of this great opportunity to meet employers face-to-face and make lasting professional connections.”

Attendees will see participating employers from a variety of industries such as education, manufacturing, financial services, automotive, and local government, including the City of Carrollton. Employment with the City means joining an award-winning team that values its employees and serves the community. With multiple full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions available, anyone can find the perfect job at the City of Carrollton. Benefits include competitive pay, insurance, a retirement plan with City 2:1 matching, a free health clinic, and more.

“Events such as the Metrocrest Community Job Fair play an essential role in the organization’s efforts to provide opportunities that foster independence and self-sufficiency,” Edwin Robles, Metrocrest Services Workforce Development Manager, said. “A community job fair is essential for connecting our residents with employers and empowering them to obtain a sustainable wage.”

Together, the City of Carrollton and Metrocrest Services hope to continue supporting job seekers with opportunities such as the job fair, fortifying the community from within, and keeping Carrollton the community families and businesses want to call home.
