Montessori school creates Keep Farmers Branch Beautiful program

Posted

ArborCreek Montessori Academy has joined the affiliate program of Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB), a statewide community improvement, litter prevention and beautification organization, setting up the affiliate Keep Farmers Branch Beautiful.

By organizing Keep Farmers Branch Beautiful, ArborCreek Montessori Academy gains access to grant opportunities, free training and education and the ability to network with other affiliate organizations across the state of Texas.

Through programs and projects in Farmers Branch, ArborCreek Montessori Academy will be part of a statewide effort to make Texas the best place to live, work and play.

“Our students have always been quite environmentally conscious. Thanks to the tenets of our school and land around our new campus building, we’ve been able to support and nurture that conscientiousness which is now flourishing among a few of our alumni to lead our Keep Farmers Branch Beautiful affiliate activities. We feel this is a tremendous opportunity and are honored to play our role," said Jennifer Wester, former board member and current administrative director.

Keep Texas Beautiful’s Executive Director Suzanne Kho said, “I am thrilled to welcome ArborCreek Montessori Academy to the KTB community. KTB helps Texas communities organize volunteers and implement cleanup and educational programs to prevent litter, reduce trash and beautify their community and natural environment—for a cleaner, more beautiful Texas for all to enjoy.”

Keep Texas Beautiful is a network of dedicated Texans working together to make Texas the cleanest and most beautiful state in the union. KTB's programs equip local partners and affiliates with the tools they need to build vibrant, engaged communities. Keep Texas Beautiful has over 50 years of experience deploying resources for local clean-up, recycling and youth engagement efforts.

ArborCreek Montessori Academy’s mission is to uphold the visionary, collaborative and inclusive approach of the Montessori philosophy to foster a diverse learning environment where children from varied economic, social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds can excel and flourish.
