Addison Airport hosted an Airport Master Plan community meeting June 18 that was attended by several representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). During the meeting, the FAA team encouraged residents experiencing aircraft noise to report concerns on the FAA's Noise Portal.

The FAA regulates flight paths, altitude requirements and other operational standards, making it the agency with the authority to require operational changes. While the Town continues to advocate on behalf of residents and promote voluntary noise reduction through its new Wheels Up, Noise Down initiative, reporting concerns to the FAA helps ensure concerns are documented where they can have the greatest regulatory impact.

The next Airport Master Plan community meeting is Monday, July 13, at 6 p.m. at the Finance Building (formerly Old Town Hall), 5300 Belt Line Road. Learn more about reporting aircraft noise and the Airport Master Plan at AddisonAirport.net.
