Early voting underway

Candidates for District 1 City Council on ballot

Early voting started Monday and will run through Oct. 31 for the November 2025 Constitutional Amendment, Special and Joint Election.

Voters will decide whether to approve or reject each of 17 amendments that were proposed by the Texas Legislature. The Dallas County Election department has the list of ballot measures here

In addition, Farmers Branch District 1 voters will decide who will represent them on Farmers Branch City Council. Lupe Gonzalez and Lilia Martinez are running for the position. Gonzalez won the first position on the ballot by random drawing.

Dallas County voters can vote at any voting center within the county. There are 70 early voting centers open. Early voting centers are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 24; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25; noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26; and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, Oct. 27-31.

The last day for early voting is Oct. 31.

Early voting centers open in Farmers Branch, Addison and Carrollton are:

  • Farmers Branch Manske Library, 13613 Webb Chapel Rd., Farmers Branch
  • Dallas College Brookhaven Campus, 3939 Valley View Rd., Bldg. W lobby, Farmers Branch
  • Addison Town Hall, 15650 Addison Rd., Addison
  • Madinah Masjid of Carrollton, 2180 Old Denton Rd., Carrollton
  • Josey Lake Library, 1700 Keller Springs Rd., Carrollton

There will be 443 voting centers open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Election Day, Nov. 4.

Voters must provide photo identification, as listed on the Dallas County Elections website, and confirm their address to vote. Voters may bring in written notes to help with their selections but may not use their phones in the polling place.
