Mayor Terry Lynne threw the first pitch for the Dallas College Brookhaven vs. Dallas College Eastfield Take Me Out to the Ball Game on May 9.
The 13th-ranked Brookhaven Bears won 5-2, beating Dallas College North Lake 10-0 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District Tournament Thursday, May 15, before falling to fourth-ranked Eastfield 12-8, ending their season on Friday, May 16.
According to the Dallas College Brookhaven Athletic Department website, Brookhaven’s 34 wins were the most since 2019, when they won 42 games.
Dallas College currently offers student athletes the opportunity to play soccer, volleyball, esports, baseball or basketball as part of their educational experience. Dallas College Brookhaven has offered an athletics program since the college opened in 1978, though the sports offered has changed throughout the years.
