In partnership with the North Texas Food Bank, the college is continuing its commitment to fighting food insecurity by offering an additional Community Pantry Day.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, Dallas College will open its food pantries at its Pleasant Grove Center (First Floor, Room 102), 802 S. Buckner Rd. in Dallas, and Mountain View Campus (S Building, Room S1016), 4849 W. Illinois Ave. in Dallas. Both events are open to the public and no ID is required.
Campus-based food pantries are a key service provided to Dallas College students, helping to remove barriers to academic success. On Community Pantry Days the college extends its support to surrounding communities.
In addition, Drive-Thru Pantries are held monthly at rotating Dallas College campuses and centers. Boxes containing fresh produce, milk and pantry staples are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Locations and times can be found at the Dallas College Community Pantry and Drive-Thru Pantry website.
