After running a media company in a room in her father’s warehouse, 29-year-old Priyanka Garcia and her team, PF Media, celebrated their move into their own dedicated building.

The new roughly 2,000-square-foot area includes a production studio, podcast room and expanded office space designed to support both in-house work and potential co-working or leasing arrangements. The new space enables the company to do in-house work for which they would initially have had to rent a studio.

“This is my biggest dream ever. I mean, nothing could be more than this studio. And you guys being here and being part of this means so much to me,” Garcia said to the crowd at the Aug. 20 ribbon-cutting ceremony, which included her employees, her parents, Carrollton City Council Member Nancy Cline and Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce members and leadership.

PFMedia started in 2020, when then 23-year-old Priyanka Garcia founded her company alongside brother Shreyans “Shrey” Shah and her husband, Juan Garcia.

Initially, the company focused on creating music videos and feature films. By 2022, the company began shifting its focus to creating commercial and social media content for businesses and nonprofits.

The new space started as an empty lot, with plans to build on top of it beginning in 2024. Shah, Garcia’s brother and PFMedia co-founder, spearheaded the construction project in collaboration with Wright Construction Group.

“Her [Priyanka] and her brother Shrey were, on a napkin, drawing out plans and the vision for this, where we're sitting right now, and here we are,” said Matthew Simmons, who currently does communications and outreach for the company.

PF Media’s team painted the walls, and former clients handled many of the finishing details, including installing televisions and wall panels. Maiya Turner, PF Media marketing associate, said her husband helped make the statue on the first floor.

“It really has taken a community, a village, to put all of this together,” said Turner.
