The Branch Herald is growing!

We appreciate the support we've received from Farmers Branch residents and business owners since we launched in January 2023. It's quite the journey from starting with nothing. Our goal remains to bring you community news you can use. We want to be your trusted source of news that is truly fair, unbiased and balanced.

All our content resides on the Branch Herald website, and anyone can continue to sign up for the free newsletter.

The Branch Herald now has a new level to support our goals of growing our community coverage. Our hallmark, in-depth reporting and profiles that you know and value are now exclusive to our subscribers to the website. In addition, we are adding premium content from business and community leaders.

We plan to keep information about emergencies, crime and government entities free to all. Press releases and sponsored content also will continue to remain free. We believe everyone should have access to the news that affects the community most.

You can find all stories on the website. The newsletter will continue to curate a mix of free and premium content.

The newsletter, which will continue to be free, links directly to the website. It will continue to publish on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.

If you do not already receive the newsletter and would like to receive it directly to your inbox, you need to subscribe to the newsletter. Don't forget to confirm your subscription. About 20% of people who sign up miss this step. It is likely hiding in your spam filter. Again, there is no cost to sign up for the newsletter or to continue receiving it.

After you sign up for the newsletter, add info@branchherald.com to your contacts, and that will ensure the newsletter always goes to your primary inbox.

We also want to help residents and local businesses thrive. Our calendar, restaurant guide, business directory and classified ads will also continue to be free. We've put a lot of effort into pumping up the calendar and restaurant guide to make them solid resources for the community and will continue to add to them. Anyone can create an account and submit events to the calendar. If you have a restaurant or business you would like to see in our guides, please email news@branchherald.com.

When you click on a story behind the paywall, if you are not a website subscriber, you will be directed to a page where you can purchase a subscription to the website. The cost is $5 per month or $50 for a year. We are currently offering an introductory special of $25 for 2025. The promo code is 25FOR25.

Once you are a subscriber, you will need to log in to your account. Some systems will make that automatic.

Click here to subscribe to ALL website content. Use the Promo Code 25FOR25 to receive an introductory offer of $25 for your first annual subscription.

If you are not a newsletter subscriber and would like to sign up to receive the newsletter to your inbox for FREE, click here. Don't forget to confirm your subscription in the automatic email you receive.

We appreciate your continuing support. Without you, the Branch Herald would cease to exist.

Besides subscribing or hitting the Support Us button and buying us a cup of coffee, a referral is the best compliment you can give us. If you are a business owner, wanting to use the Branch Herald to spread tell the community about your business, you can email kbergeron@branchherald.com for information about purchasing an ad or a listing in the restaurant guide or business directory.
