Henry “Kique” De Hoyos passed away on January 8, 2025, surrounded by his children and family. Kique lived a happy and love-filled life, reaching the age of 75.

He was born on April 15, 1949, in Hampton, Iowa to José and Tomasa De Hoyos. He grew up in San Antonio, Texas alongside his eight brothers and five sisters.

On August 9, 1969, he married his childhood sweetheart and love of his life, Diana Gonzalez. Together, they had three children, Belinda, Gracie, and Henry Jr. Kique and Diana moved to Dallas, TX, where they worked and raised their family. They were later blessed with ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and three step-great grandchildren.

Kique’s family was of the utmost importance to him. He maintained close relationships not only with his own children, but with many of his nieces and nephews as well. Kique always made family and friends alike feel welcomed and right at home anytime they stopped by for a visit. He was admired and loved by many.

In his free time, he enjoyed grilling for his family, dancing with his wife, and watching plenty of football. Especially his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and loyalty, and endless memories of the time he spent with family and friends.

Kique was preceded in death by his parents José and Tomasa De Hoyos, his beloved wife, Diana, and his siblings, Jose, Tomas, Victor, David, Rudy, Mateo, Delia, and Rita.

Henry is survived by his children Belinda Bernal and husband Sergio, Gracie Stanford and husband David, Henry Jr. and wife Jennifer. His grandchildren Amber, Sarah (Aaron), Destiny (Ivan), and Basilio Bernal, Cecilia, Ana Maria, and Thomas Stanford, Joseph, Natalie, and Eliana De Hoyos, and his step-grandchildren, Justice, Elijah, and Tristan Hegarty. His great-grandchildren, Elise, Olive, and Ben Funes, Diana Lopez, Cassidy and Alice Quiroz, Navi Ramirez, Maddy, Mateo, and Gabriel De Hoyos, and his step-great grandchildren, Hayes, Sophia, and Flynn Hegarty. He is also survived by his siblings, Jose, Nora, Hope, Sam, Mike, and Josie.
