Imagine waiting with an almost empty pantry until payday. You head to the store, carefully selecting groceries to stretch your budget only to find out your paycheck never came through. You leave empty-handed wondering how you’ll feed your children tonight.

While the federal government said they will re-instate half of SNAP benefits, benefits will be delayed. Millions of North Texans depend on $600 million in food aid each month.

Families, children and seniors who rely on SNAP will face not only hunger but also the ripple effects. Neighbors may now have to utilize rent or utility funds to pay for their groceries.

Metrocrest Services is bracing for a surge in need. We need your help to say “yes” to every neighbor who reaches out.
