A cup of coffee can help feed local families during a special giveback event benefiting Metrocrest Services.
The Human Bean in Carrollton will donate $1 from every drink purchased during its Food Drive Giveback Day on Friday, June 19, helping support Metrocrest Services' food pantry and hunger relief programs.
The event runs from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. at The Human Bean, 2661 Midway Road, Suite 300, in Carrollton. The coffee shop is located in the same shopping center as Metrocrest Resale.
According to Metrocrest Services, every $1 donated through the event can provide approximately three meals for individuals and families who rely on the nonprofit's food pantry.
Customers can stop by throughout the day for coffee, tea, smoothies and specialty beverages, knowing their purchase will help neighbors facing food insecurity. Businesses and groups are also encouraged to participate by placing larger orders. Group orders may be arranged by calling 972-373-4431.
Metrocrest Services serves residents across the Metrocrest area through programs focused on food assistance, housing stability, senior services and other support resources.
