The City of Farmers Branch announces the resignation of Councilmember Omar Roman, who has represented District 1 since May 2022 and was recently re-elected to serve a second term beginning in 2025. Councilmember Roman is expected to share more information regarding his decision on his personal social media platforms in the near future.
In accordance with the City Charter, the process to fill the District 1 vacancy will move forward. Once a timeline is established, additional details about the upcoming special election will be shared with the public.
