A new charter school recently announced it is moving to town.
Trivium Academy, a tuition-free public charter school that provides a modern classical education, will move to 14240 Midway Rd. in June. The new campus, which serves students kindergarten through twelfth grade, will open its doors in August for the 2025-2026 school year.
“This new location places us in a thriving, accessible area where we can better meet the needs of our growing community,” said the school’s leadership team in a press release.
The location is the former home of The Westwood School, which moved across the road and into Addison, and shares a building with Suzuki Music Institute of Dallas.
Trivium Academy is accepting applications for all grade levels. The school no longer has geographic boundaries so students from across the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex can apply.
As a public charter school, attendance is tuition-free.
Families interested in learning more about Trivium Academy can tour the current campus in Carrollton before the move Farmers Branch in June.
For more information, to schedule a tour or to apply, visit the Trivium Academy website or call (469) 854-9007.
A second campus will open at 601 Accent Dr. in Plano and serve students kindergarten through sixth grade.
Trivium is sponsored by Portico Education Foundation, a non-profit organization, and opened in 2016. The academy graduated its first senior class in 2023.
