Color, culture and tradition bring Mexican traditions to life

Colorful costumes, traditional Mexican music and lively dancing brought generations of culture to life at the Farmers Branch Historical Park's Día de los Muertos celebration Oct. 29.

Students from R.L. Turner High School's ballet folklórico program performed during the community celebration, which honored loved ones who have died while celebrating the traditions that keep their memories alive.

The free event featured live entertainment, music and a community altar where visitors could leave photographs and mementos honoring family members and friends.
