The City of Farmers Branch will begin a wastewater infrastructure replacement project along Bee Street on May 15, city officials announced.
The project area stretches from Valley View Lane to Cooks Creek, north of Springvale Lane. Work includes replacing about 3,715 linear feet of aging clay sewer pipe with new 8-inch and 10-inch high-density polyethylene pipe and installing 15 new sanitary sewer manholes.
Construction is expected to continue through fall 2026. Crews will typically work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work depending on weather conditions.
Residents and businesses should expect temporary lane closures along Bee Street during construction, though the city said access to homes and businesses will remain open throughout the project. No wastewater service interruptions are anticipated, but residents will be notified in advance if any disruptions become necessary.
