'Raise Your Voice' brings people together

Posted

From Johnny Cash to Mel Brooks to Elsa and Olaf, every show of The Firehouse Theatre's 2026 season invites audiences to raise their voices and cheer.

“This season celebrates the many ways music, comedy and storytelling bring people together,” says Artistic Producer Owen Beans. “Whether it’s the rebel spirit of Johnny Cash, the outrageous humor of Mel Brooks or the sisterhood at the heart of Sister Act and Frozen, these productions speak to the joy of being heard and the importance of lifting each other up.”

Season Tickets are now on sale, offering unbeatable savings and exclusive benefits. They are $260 for adults and $235 for seniors, students, educators, and first responders. These rates are available through Dec. 25. A price increase will take effect beginning Dec. 26. Patrons are encouraged to secure their Season Tickets now to lock in current pricing.

Season Ticket holders also receive a 10% discount on all Performing Arts Series events scheduled for 2026, in addition to priority access before individual tickets become available to the general public on January 1.

2026 Mainstage Productions:

Ring of Fire | Jan. 29-Feb. 15 | PG

From Johnny Cash’s iconic songbook comes a unique musical journey through love and faith, struggle and success, rowdiness and redemption, and the healing power of home and family. Told through over two dozen of his greatest hits – including “I Walk The Line,” “A Boy Named Sue,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” and the title song “Ring of Fire” – performed by a multi-talented cast that paints a musical portrait of The Man in Black in a foot-stompin’, crowd-pleasin’ salute to the musical legend.

The Producers | March 12-29 | PG

A down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant come up with a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history, thereby bilking their backers (all "little old ladies") out of millions of dollars. Only one thing goes awry: the show is a smash hit! The antics of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom as they maneuver their way fecklessly through finding a show (the gloriously offensive "Springtime for Hitler"), hiring a director, raising the money and finally going to prison for their misdeeds is Mel Brooks at his best!

Sister Act | May 14-31 | PG

When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.

Shrek the Musical | June 25-July 12 | PG

"Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek...." And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand... and his name is Shrek.

Grease | Aug. 6-23 | PG

Grease is the word! It’s 1959 at Rydell High, and Danny and Sandy’s summer romance is about to face the ultimate test — senior year. Featuring beloved hits like “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin’,” and “You’re the One That I Want,” Grease is the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll party that will have you dancing in your seat.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street | Oct. 15-Nov. 1 | R

An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up... and the carnage has only just begun!

Disney’s Frozen | Dec. 3-20 | PG

In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home – with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf. Full of magic, humor, and a stunning musical score, Frozen is a powerful tale of sisterhood, acceptance, and finding the real meaning of true love.
