For the first open house since 2019, the Farmers Branch Police Department showed off their remodeled space to residents and visitors Saturday, Oct. 4.
Citizens on Patrol volunteers led groups through the facility showing fresh, new spaces where all lieutenants and sergeants now have their own desk and significant upgrades to the criminal investigative division, staff breakroom and other spaces.
"This is a huge improvement over what it was before," said Debbie Smith, a Citizen on Patrol volunteer and tour guide for the open house.
The Farmers Branch Police Department operates four shifts of officers with each shift having one lieutenant, two sergeants and eight or nine officers.
