Two people were transported to the hospital following a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, Dec. 8, at the intersection of Josey Lane and Rawhide Parkway.

A single pick-up truck struck power lines and a tree in the early morning hours with the resulting power surge reportedly waking customers.

The accident resulted in a multi-hour power outage for hundreds of Oncor customers whose homes surrounded the intersection, but police reported the accident had no fatalities on site, and that two passengers of the white pickup truck were transported to area hospitals.

Oncor workers replaced the pole and restored service later that morning.

Oncor did not respond to inquiries by the Branch Herald by press time.

Neither the Dallas or Tarrant county medical examiners have any deaths that appear to be connected with this accident.
