Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Roger Neal is inviting Farmers Branch residents who live in District 5 to pull up a chair and have a conversation.

Beginning today, Wednesday, July 15, Neal will host "Dialogue in District 5" from 4-6 p.m. at Brookhaven Country Club. The informal gatherings are intended to give District 5 residents an opportunity to ask questions, raise concerns and discuss issues affecting their neighborhood one-on-one with their City Council representative.

After the first meeting, the sessions will continue on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the same location and time.

Neal said the conversations are intentionally agenda-free and focused on listening to residents. While he hopes to answer questions during the meetings, he said he will also help connect residents with the information they need if he does not have an immediate answer.

While the recurring meetings will focus on District 5, Neal said he won't turn away residents from other districts who want to share ideas, discuss city issues or simply get to know their council representative in a more informal setting.
