Mary Immaculate Catholic Church and Mary Immaculate Catholic School are among the North Texas organizations receiving grant funding through The Catholic Foundation's 2026 spring grant program.
The Catholic Foundation awarded a total of $1.55 million to 37 Catholic churches, schools and community organizations across North Texas during its spring grant ceremony in April. The grants support a variety of projects, including facility improvements, security upgrades, technology enhancements, parish renovations and educational initiatives.
At Mary Immaculate, the grants will support Parish Hall renovations at the church and performance space renovations at the school.
According to church leaders, the improvements will enhance both educational and ministry opportunities for students and parishioners.
"Thank you to The Catholic Foundation, to Matt, to Anne, and all the trustees for helping us live out our mission at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church and School to create a Christ-centered learning environment that fosters wonder and excitement," said Chase Sanders, director of advancement and mission for Mary Immaculate Catholic Church and School. "These renovations to our parish are to create a fine arts theater that is going to allow our students to unlock the ability to create that excitement in the performing arts, as well as improve our audio and video systems for a very vibrant and active youth catechetical program within our parish."
The grants were funded through The Catholic Foundation's unrestricted Philanthropy Fund as well as donor-established charitable funds. Additional projects funded across the region include security systems, parking lot repairs, HVAC upgrades, senior services, parish hall renovations, athletic facilities and educational improvements.
"The unwavering support of Catholic Foundation donors continues to make a powerful difference throughout North Texas," said Matt Kramer, president and CEO of The Catholic Foundation. "The spring grants fuel the mission-driven efforts of parishes, Catholic schools and charitable groups by helping them expand their reach, transform communities and bring hope, promise and care to countless individuals of all ages."
The Catholic Foundation distributes grants twice each year to Catholic churches, schools and nonprofit organizations. Grant applications are reviewed by the Foundation's Board of Trustees Distribution Committee and include site visits before funding decisions are made.
Since its founding, The Catholic Foundation has provided more than $345 million in grants to religious, charitable and educational organizations. More than $235 million of that total has been distributed during the past decade. In 2025 alone, the Foundation awarded more than 3,400 grants totaling $31.5 million to more than 900 organizations.
