Dallas College is offering a free hospitality certification program aimed at preparing North Texas residents to welcome international visitors ahead of upcoming FIFA World Cup events.
The college is partnering with the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee to host 90-minute, in-person training sessions focused on cultural awareness and global hospitality skills, according to event materials.
The program is open to all community members and includes instruction on multilingual greetings, communication basics and practical tools for working with international guests. Participants will also learn about FIFA, participating teams and fan experiences tied to major global soccer events.
Attendees can earn 1.5 continuing education units and will receive a certificate of completion at no cost.
Training sessions are scheduled across multiple campuses, including Brookhaven Campus on April 27, Mountain View Campus on April 30, Cedar Valley and Richland campuses on May 20, and the Garland Center on May 27.
Organizers say the effort is designed to equip the Dallas-Fort Worth community with the skills needed to support international tourism and create a welcoming environment as the region prepares to host visitors from around the world.
