Starting a business is a bit like parenting.
You create something out of nothing, nurture it, give it every last bit of creative energy and cash and hope and pray that it, and you, survive.
Similar to a child becoming an adolescent, after 18 months, the Branch Herald is developing into a new stage.
Starting June 4, the Herald will arrive in your email inboxes weekly on Wednesdays. Instead of packing twice monthly Sunday issues with news and fighting to fill weekly Wednesday Branch Beat newsletters, the Herald staff, now up to four part-time writers and an ad sales agent in addition to me as the publisher wrangling the entire thing, are planning to bring you news weekly as well as entertainment options for the weekend. We chose to keep the newsletter on Wednesdays instead of Sundays so you have the most up-to-date entertainment calendar for your weekends.
We have a few things yet to figure out for next week, so we thank you for your patience as we transition. The Herald is constantly a work in progress, growing, maturing, with its people learning along with it.
This is one of several announcements we’ll have in the upcoming months. We’re working on a few projects behind the scenes that we can’t wait to share as well.
As always, we want to say a special thank you to all of our premium content subscribers, newsletter subscribers and supporters. Without you, the Herald wouldn’t exist and couldn’t grow as it is. Thank you.
