Residents and staff celebrated the long-awaited re-opening of The Branch Connection on Tuesday, June 10.
About 300 people attended the grand reopening, surpassing expectations for the event.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, TBC Manager Jackie Byles welcomed the community to a new chapter in the life of the active adult center. "It's truly an honor to stand before you today as we mark the re-opening of a place that is so much more than just a physical space - it's a place of belonging, a safe haven and a community hub," Byles said.
Mayor Terry Lynne called the TBC a place of "joy, support and empowerment," and thanked city staff and residents for their dedication to the facility.
"Standing here, I can't help but be filled with pride, gratitude and excitement as we open the doors to the new and improved space that will continue to serve our active adult community for years to come," Lynne said.
Memberships to TBC are available to anyone older than 50 years of age and cost $25/year or $2.50/month for Farmers Branch and Carrollton residents. Day passes are $5. Visit the city website for more information.
