Farmers Branch prepares for mayoral run-off election

Following the May 2 election, a runoff election for Mayor is required because none of the candidates received more than 50% of the total vote. Per the unofficial results, the top two candidates will advance to the runoff to ensure the office is filled by a representative who has secured a clear majority of community support. The City is currently coordinating with Dallas County Elections to finalize logistics, which includes the formal canvassing of the general election results on May 12.  Take note, Dallas County registered voters can cast their ballot at any Dallas County Vote Center during early voting.

Runoff Election Schedule

• Early Voting at any Dallas County Vote Center: Mon, June 1 – Tues, June 9
• Runoff Election Day: Saturday, June 13

Voters are encouraged to visit the official Dallas County Elections website or the Farmers Branch election page for more info.

Note: Candidate questionnaires for the top two candidates, Mayor Terry Lynne and Jaime Rivas, are located on the Branch Herald Elections page here.
