Dallas College’s Lifelong Learning Program is inviting adults 55 and older to participate in upcoming non-credit continuing education classes at the Brookhaven Campus.

Program organizers said the Lifelong Learning Program is open to anyone interested in attending classes, regardless of where they live. The program focuses on continuing education opportunities for older adults in a welcoming, community-based environment.

Participants who have previously attended Dallas College only need to provide their student ID number to register. New students will be asked to provide basic information including their full name, date of birth, address, phone number and email address in order to create a student ID number.

One upcoming class, “Balloon Decorations,” will be held from 10 a.m. to noon May 21 in Room S003 at the Brookhaven Campus. The class will teach participants how to create balloon columns, centerpieces and other decorative arrangements.

The program is also offering “Conversational Spanish II,” which meets from 4 to 5 p.m. every Monday through June 29 in Room S003 at the Brookhaven Campus. Organizers noted the class has already started, but interested participants may still inquire about joining.

The classes are part of the Dallas College Lifelong Learning Program’s continuing education offerings for adults 55 and older.
