Cold temperatures didn't dampen enthusiasm of parade participants at the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade on Jan. 17 in Carrollton.
Incoming CEO of Metrocrest Services Gabe Madison served as grand marshall, and organizations from around the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District area schools participated.
Starting behind Carrollton City Hall on Rainwater Lane, the parade traveled south down Josey Lane to Keller Springs Road and east to Kelly Boulevard, where a program was held at Ted Polk Middle School.
Christ Community Connection Inc. organized the parade, which has been an annual event for more than 30 years.
