A new chapter began for the Addison Fire Department as C.J. Alexander was officially sworn in as Fire Chief. Marking exactly seven years to the day since he first joined the department, Chief Alexander’s appointment reflects both his dedication to service and his deep roots within the team.

The swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday, April 22 drew a strong crowd of colleagues, community members, and supporters, all gathered to celebrate this meaningful milestone. Their presence spoke volumes about the respect and confidence Chief Alexander has earned over the years.

We look forward to the leadership, experience, and steady commitment that Chief Alexander will bring as he steps into this role and continues to serve the Addison community.

Touch-a-Truck arrives May 16

Make your way to Addison Circle Park for our 5th annual Touch-a-Truck event, presented by Oncor, on Saturday, May 16 from 9:30–11:30am.

Get up close with a wide range of vehicles, from public works trucks to police and fire units, and see the equipment that keeps our community moving. It’s a chance to explore, ask questions, and experience these vehicles from a whole new perspective.

We’ll also have a dedicated children’s area with an inflatable slide and lawn games, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
